As a real estate promoter, Il Punto Real Estate Advisor proudly joined the initiative “Gentle Streets and Squares” – a transformative design-led hackathon that took place from April 8 to 13, 2025 at Spazio Culturale SC3 Milano GentiLab, as an official part of Milano Design Week 2025. The project brought together designers, artists, digital creators, and urban visionaries to reimagine the public spaces surrounding Via Scutari 3 and the Liceo Artistico Caravaggio.

Organized by the Associazione Culturale Spazio Culturale SC3 Milano GentiLab ETS in collaboration with Gentletude and voice of space, the initiative was led by Silvia Cortese, Cristina Milani, and Alissa Bankovska. With the support of Immobiliare Falco Srl, and technical and material contributions from Modulina Straw Panels and TAF Abrasivi SpA, the initiative embodied a new, circular approach to sustainable urban transformation.

Il Punto’s role, in line with our broader service offering as a real estate promoter, included supporting the coordination of the concept, engaging key stakeholders, and contributing to the strategic framework that positions urban regeneration not just as a development process, but as a participatory and creative journey.

The initiative aimed to lay the groundwork for the emerging Turro-Martesana-Milano (TUMAMI) district – using art, design thinking, and circular sustainability principles to activate gentle, inclusive, and emotionally resonant public spaces. Guided by the philosophy of voice of space, participants explored the concept of “Impact Spaces”—public environments intentionally designed to foster human interaction and inspire positive behavioral shifts. Through this lens, they created works that do not merely decorate public space but activate it, connect people, and stimulate collective action. Through a hackathon model, six innovative phygital installations were created using circular materials and digital technology, representing a new vision of placemaking.

Created Projects:

  • “Punti di raccolta umana e archiviazione urbana” by Eleonora Gugliotta, Dmytro Tokariev, and Karyna Bezsonova: Interactive urban panels inviting citizens to leave traces of their daily lives, creating a living archive of community memories. Enhanced by the “Digital Caselle” platform, allowing voice messages, photos, and digital expressions.

  • “Osservatorio delle Stelle” by Amanda Toy: A poetic observatory inviting visitors to reconnect with dreams and nature. The project also proposes playful, colorful interventions on everyday urban elements, such as pedestrian crossings and traffic lights, conveying positive and inspiring messages.

  • “Wonderland” by Giada Grasso: A playful installation transforming urban life into an imaginative experience, promoting change through creativity and play.

  • “Tessuto Sociale” by Onish: A striking 20-meter installation made of CO₂-absorbing fabric that gradually changes color, symbolizing the neighborhood’s transformation.

  • “WHISPER” by Orma il Viandante, Dmytro Tokariev, and Karyna Bezsonova: An urban storytelling project transforming blank facades into an open-air museum, enriched by “The Wall That Talks” AR experience with animations and children’s voices.

  • “Urban Cube-ism” by Will Paucar, Dmytro Tokariev, and Karyna Bezsonova: A participatory cube made of Modulina panels collecting the physical and emotional traces of passersby. Expanded through the “ARtCUBO” digital platform, enabling users to create and place virtual artworks in a shared 3D space.

“Gentle Streets and Squares” demonstrated the transformative potential of sustainable, emotionally intelligent design in strengthening urban identity and social cohesion. The project serves as a scalable model for future urban regeneration initiatives, promoting collaboration between the public and private sectors for shared transformation.
