It was held on Thursday, September 15th, in the exclusive location of the Castle of Chiavari (GE) and in conjunction with the Forum Scenari Immobiliari, the event “Habitat III”, organized by FIABCI Italia with the attendance of ASPESI, FIMAA, IsIVI and AssoCastelli to anticipate what that FIABCI – The International Real Estate Federation, in representation of the private sector, will present the next International Conference of the United Nations for Sustainable Urban Development, Habitat III, which will take place in Quito (Ecuador) in October.
The event, opened with the greetings by the Mayor of Chiavari, Roberto Levaggi, and with an introduction by Antonio Campagnoli, President FIABCI Italia, and Oriana Federico, President ASPESI, has seen the participation of the President of Scenari Immobiliari, Mario Breglia, and academics as Prof. Sergio Mattia and Prof. Alberto Baudà, in addition to a qualified representation of the sector.
During the event, Prof. Leopoldo Sdino of the Polytechnic of Milan, has anticipated an Italian contribution to Quito, a module made on platform BIM for build quality accommodations at affordable prices and with minimal maintenance costs. Innovative idea is that the same module processed in BIM can be repeated universally with local construction technologies to preserve identity and to limit expenditure on design, materials, labor and maintenance.
For the occasion, also, the Arch. Marco Matteini has presented the tool (citysvil.mesys.it) that will be proposed to Quito to assess and monitor the sustainability of a city and its progressive approach to the objectives, the Sustainable Develpment Goals, indicated last September by the General Assembly of the United Nations, by standardizing the analysis methodology and the reference parameters.
The survey is based on four domains –ecology, economics, politics, culture-, each composed of seven perspectives -organization, justice, security, identity, production, technology, habitat…- and in their turn by seven aspects; the result consists of a clear and simple graphic representation, effect of the responses to the questionnaires that depending on the number set out the four temporal levels -rapid, aggregated, annotated, comprehensive- on which is processed the study.
Finally, it’s anticipated a draft of “Global Policy Framework for Sustainable King Development”, today subject of public consultation, which could ensure a balanced real estate development in the coming decades, capable of ensuring, in addition to economic growth, also a social stability and financial.
FIABCI, as representative of the real estate sector private, in its world congress in Panama last May, has decided to support the local and national authorities in their effort to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, adopted by the United Nations last September. This event has anticipated the initiative in this direction of a real estate private sector that intends to cooperate in achieving of common interests to all society.
